If there's anything I hate, it's people who _try_ things rather than just
talking about them :-).  Chris said in some mail to me:

# Aliases override .forward files, not vice versa (not surprising since

So I tried it.

He's right.  I've believed the opposite for several years now and never
run aground of the facts.  Every day, something new.  Thanks, Chris.
